This time it's an official blog that spills the beans

Microsoft now aiming to release ‘NoDo’ in the second half of March

After months and months of delays and ‘radio silence’ from Microsoft, finally the official blog has broken its silence and revealed some information about the first major update for Windows Phone 7.

The French official WP7 blog, that is. I guess the American one was busy.

In any case, the official (French) Windows Phone blog has stated that the NoDo update is now due "In the second half of March" (or, as Google Translate calls it, "the second half of Mars").

Sources talking to ZDnet seem to suggest that the tentative date outlined by Microsoft will be the 21st, although the big ‘M’ itself isn’t confirming or denying anything now.

Why is ‘NoDo’ so hotly anticipated? Well, the update is meant to bring in copy-and-paste functionality and improvements to the Zune Marketplace, as well as speeding up operations - certainly not something to be sniffed at.
