Rumour: Windows Phone update landing on February 7th

Having already prepared everyone for the worst via a new entry in the Knowledge Base, it now looks like Microsoft will be releasing its long-awaited WP7 update, NoDo, out into the electronic wilds on the 7th of Feburary, if reports from French site windowsphone.fr are to be believed.

The update will feature the crowd-pleasing Copy and Paste feature missing from the OS at launch, as well as a number of performance upgrades that should allow for faster booting of apps.

There’s no official word from Microsoft whether this date is true or not, although given that the Mobile World Congress kicks off soon it would do the company no harm to get some press about its platform out during the (relatively) quiet period a week before the event starts.
