US only: Microsoft gives away free Xbox games with Windows Phone 7 handsets

In the United States, Microsoft is pulling out all the stops to get its fledgling new mobile OS into the hands of consumers.

So, to make the prospect of ditching iPhone or Android in favour of Windows Phone 7 a little bit more tantalising, the Redmond tech giant has dangled a carrot: pick up a new mobile before 2010 runs its course and you get a free Xbox 360 game.

You’ve got four titles to choose from: exotic animal tickler Kinemeticals, wacky gesture-racer Kinect Joy Ride, kingdom domination sim Fable III, or sci-fi space opera Halo: Reach.
