Microsoft unveils Windows Phone 7 global portfolio
WP7 phones available in the UK from 21st October
Microsoft has revealed nine new Windows Phone 7 handsets that will be available by Christmas in Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and Australia.
Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, spoke of Microsoft and its partners, "delivering a different kind of mobile phone and experience," which, "makes everyday tasks faster by getting more done in fewer steps."
With this 'different' experience including Xbox Live integration, Zune, the Bing search engine, and Microsoft Office Mobile, Windows Phone 7 is clearly meant to fit into your current lifestyle and complement existing technology.
Handsets are being developed by a range of manufacturers, including Dell, Samsung and HTC Corp, but all Windows Phone 7 devices will feature the Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm.
