Microsoft is on stage now introducing Windows Phone 7, but before the even t even started Samsung Russia had revealed its first mobile based on the software.

The Omnia 7 isn't lacking in the specs department. A 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 4-inch 800x480 AMOLED display, 5MP autofocus camera with the ability to shoot 720p video, GPS navigation, a battery capable of making 6 hours of calls, as well as maps and search courtesy of Microsoft’s Bing, all look to make the Omnia 7 a capable device.

But with Microsoft's OS offering seamless integration of social outlets (such as Facebook and Twitter), and the ability to sync your home computer content with your mobile, the Omnia looks to be one of the first of an impressive batch of Windows-powered smartphones.
