Rumour: Windows Phone 7 hitting US on November 8th
|

Microsoft’s upcoming feature-filled mobile, Windows Phone 7, has got itself another rumoured date, complete with “reliable sources” and misleading headlines.

Paul Thurrott, the Microsoft version of tech pundit Jon Gruber, says it’s coming out November 8th. “While I don’t know anything about a European launch”, says Thurrott, he’s got the 8th circled on his calendar for America.

What about the October 11th date that’s been chucked around online? That’s an annual Microsoft event, says the reporter, and is unrelated to the device.

In other Windows Phone 7 news, Microsoft has revealed the first run of adverts intended to run on American TV.

The message is clear: while other app-heavy and info-packed devices rule your life, the WP7’s interactive homescreen gives you the goods at a glance - from emails to tweets and news to Facebook - so you can get back to real life.
