Windows Phone 7 Series gets a new name
Now 25 per cent less of a convoluted mouthful
The name Windows Phone 7 Series obviously just got too much of a mouthful for Microsoft.
Writing on the the @windowsphone Twitter account, Microsoft wrote "Tis the season for Series finales", saying "we've got one too."
The forthcoming empire of handsets and devices running the new mobile operating system will simply be titled 'Windows Phone 7'.
In the Pocket Gamer office, we just call it WinMo7, but that's because we're so hip and awesome it's painful.
