Designer's Windows 7 Series Tablet concept

If Apple's upcoming iPad is essentially just a jumbo iPhone, then why not put other gadgets through the magic resizing machine and see what sticks?

That's probably what London based designer Umang Dokey did when he created this concept for a Windows Phone 7 Series tablet.

The 3D model even answers some of the iPad's critics with a built in stand that doubles up as a physical keyboard. It also has two joysticks on the back, presumably for people who like to play Halo... with their index fingers? Not sure about that one.

Still, the 8-inch beauty would certainly give the iPad a run for its money, and if Microsoft does jump on the tablet bandwagon any time soon it could do a lot worse than watch this video.
