2018's Payment Trends in Mobile Casinos

2018's Payment Trends in Mobile Casinos

We’re looking forward to what 2018 will bring already, especially within the mobile casino realm. We’re forecasting the biggest payment trends that this industry will see in the coming year, which might just change the face of the industry.

Millennials Everywhere

Most businesses are attempting to target millennials, with varying degrees of success. This section of the population is precious because they have more disposable income than almost all others. They’re ready to play and deposit, with less qualms about playing online than their older counterparts.

For 2018, we anticipate that there will be more of these players on mobile casinos, most likely using an eWallet like PayPal to deposit. This is easy for these players to use and many will already have this option set up.

More Mobile Deposit Methods

Mobile deposit methods are more important than ever for players, as we like to be able to deposit on the go. There are already many casino sites that take phone bill payments to cater to these players, but we’ll likely see more getting accustomed to and using this trend in future. This will allow their players to make more expedient deposits and overall improve the user journey.

We’ve seen many existing deposit methods going mobile, this trend will also continue. Now, there are even some mobile exclusive methods that can’t be used on any other platform. Mobile is more popular than ever, so it’s important for these payment methods to be available to these players.

Competitive Markets

The market for casino sites is always getting stricter and more competitive, which means players can choose the sites that most cater to them. Any that don’t keep up with current trends or knowingly neglect their players will not have a chance to win them back. It doesn’t take long to be left in the dust and those that don’t work hard to retain their players won’t have them for long.

While this can tie into payment methods, it’s also important for sites to keep the games themselves up to date too. Mobile gamers are notoriously hard to please, as they have short attention spans and want all of the very latest to play on. Slot game developers are incredibly active and need their games to be distributed quickly to reach their audience. This allows the game to gain momentum with fans and creates revenue for the casino site.

It’s safe to say that 2018 will be another big year for both the alternative payments and the casino industry. These industries are growing rapidly, with more players interested in their wares on a regular basis. This will likely continue through next year and beyond, we don’t think these games will slow down any time soon.
