Minecraft: Pocket Edition is definitely heading to Windows Phone, but it might not be any time soon

In a move that has surprised literally no one, Mojang has confirmed that Minecraft: Pocket Edition is definitely heading to Windows Phone.

In a post on Twitter Minecraft's lead developer Jens Bergensten had the following to say about the newly acquired Microsoft IP ending up on Microsoft-powered phones.

"Yes, Minecraft: Pocket Edition *is* coming to the Windows Phone! The port runs already, but there's still much to do before any release."

So there you go. We'll let you know as and when we hear anything a little more concrete about the port. It's about time Windows Phone got its second game after all. Miaow.
