Rumour: Windows 8 tablet interface demo due in June?
Microsoft taking “a more Apple-like approach”
Last month’s Mobile World Congress brought an explosion of tablet-related news, but conspicuous by its absence was anything from Microsoft.
However, this could be soon rectified, as a source at Microsoft has apparently told Business Insider that the company is hoping to show a design demo of its Windows 8 for tablets interface in June.
The insider also suggested that Microsoft is taking, “a more Apple-like approach to interface design,” and that the tablet software will use concepts from the Metro interface designed for Windows Phone 7. As ever, this is just speculation, but the rumours are certainly gathering pace. Engadget
