It's a turn-based open world strategy game in which you play a group of survivors, battling other people, nuclear-mutated creatures, and the dark.
Of course, being based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro 2033, it all takes place in the post-apocalyptic Moscow metro station.
If you're not familiar, this is where the remaining humans have fled after a nuclear war between global powers.
You'll have to move through the underground holdouts, scavenging for resources where possible, and avoiding conflict if possible.
When you do enter fights, you'll need to command your whole squad during turn-based battles, moving them about and attacking tactically.
