LG denies it's ditching Windows Phone

Yesterday, reports emerged from the Korea Herald that South Korean phone manufacturer LG was going to stop releasing Windows Phone handsets. However, this doesn't look to be the case, after all.

In a statement to Pocket-lint, a spokesman for LG said that the firm was "still on board with Windows Phone" and that the initial story was just "Korea Herald... showing its speculative side again".

"Regardless of which OS, LG is committed to offering consumers as wide a choice as possible."

Despite this, there has been nary a peep from LG in regards to upcoming Windows Phone handsets for a good while, with only the Optimus 7 and Quantum heading up the company's line.
