Windows Phone 7 update imminent?

The first update for the WP7 platform, codenamed NoDo, is expected to land within the next few weeks, thanks to Microsoft already preparing for the worst on its website.

Pocketnow has picked up on a new post from the company in its Knowledge Base that runs through troubleshooting problems one might encounter when attempting to update to the new software - a fairly reliable sign that said software is about to land.

The update was initially announced by Microsoft last October, and is expected to feature a whole gamut of useful additions including everyone’s favourite Copy and Paste.

The troubleshooting guide itself doesn’t contain much useful info for those who don’t actually have the update (as you’d expect), but it does reveal that there is an in-built option in Zune that allows for software to be downgraded should it cause any major issues - something other mobile operating systems are reluctant to do.
