Microsoft: Angry Birds coming to Windows Phone 7 on May 25th
Six more weeks of winter for Microsoft devotees
Microsoft has reportedly revealed that Angry Birds will be coming to Windows Phone 7 on May 25th.
According to WP7 Connect, the company made this revelation while demonstrating the multitasking features of the forthcoming Windows Phone 7 Mango update at its an MIX11 event, which is currently taking place in Las Vegas.
Of course, history tells us that Microsoft can't necessarily be trusted when it comes to Angry Birds and Windows Phone 7. Back in October 2010 Rovio called Microsoft out for using Angry Birds imagery in its promotional material for the Windows Phone 7 launch.
Speaking earlier this year about the delay in getting Angry Birds onto Microsoft's mobile app store, Rovio's Peter Vesterbacka said, “let's just say Microsoft has a lot of lawyers.”
Angry Birds, which you've definitely already heard of and probably played, is a casual game in which you use a catapult to sling birds at structures housing larcenous pigs.
