First Windows Phone 7 advert promises a revolution

Here’s part one of Microsoft’s billion dollar ad campaign for upcoming mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.

Shown before a screening of Lawrence of Arabia at the latest Secret Cinema event in London, the ad spoofs the 1962 historical epic.

Which is to say, it’s set in a hazy desert, has vaguely Arabian music, and is written in a vaguely Arabian font.

The video shows off a rather generic, unbranded WP7 handset. But it only gives you a hint of the UI and none of the cool stuff that has us clamouring for the device: Xbox Live interaction, a beefy processor, and an array of awesome games.

You can watch the video, right there. There. Under this text. THERE.
