Just as it did with We Rule and GodFinger, creative iPhone developer ngmoco is using the fertile soils of Canada as a brimming test bed of beta gamers for its latest freemium game We Doodle.

Following the company’s acquisition of Charadium earlier this year, We Doodle is an online Pictionary game. In online games, one player is picked to draw a predetermined word while the rest of the players try to decipher the doodle. Much fun ensues.

The game offers up a bunch of stencils and drawing tools to turn stick-figure doodles into masterpieces, as well as 'doodle assist' where buddies can help you draw. It’s all hooked up to the developer’s social network, Plus+ for achievements, leaderboards, and matchmaking.

The game is free, but you can drop real cash for gold coins (from 59p / 99c / €0.79c to £17.99 / $29.99 / €23.99) which net you extra doodling supplies and hints. A one-time payment of £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99 will nix the app’s ads.

Impressions from Canadian players are positive, with gamers especially liking the daily goals which keep you booting the game up every morning for new challenges.

Sounds fun, but we’ll have to see if its enough to drag us away from our crippling Depict addictions.

We Doodle will be available worldwide soon,” says ngmoco. The game will be free and available for iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad.
