Warlords: Call to Arms marches in formation onto iPhone

Can 90 million Flash game sessions be wrong?

Maybe it's better not to answer that directly, but apparently that's how many times action strategy game Warlords: Call to Arms has been played.

And now, thanks to original creators Greyhound Games, together with Ben Olding Games, it's out for iPhone and iPod touch.

Quick march

A simple-to-play army game, its variation comes from the different types of units and races you get to play.

These range from elves, orcs and trolls to demons and zombies, with the choice of units - archers, swordsman, mages etc - you deploy at any point, the crucial gameplay element.

There's also a Risk-style campaign map, on which you pick your line of advance through 28 territories. And in between levels, you get to visit the in-game shop to buy and upgrade your offensive strength.

OpenFeint integration provides achievements and leaderboards.

You can see how the battles rage in the following video.
