Warhammer 40,000 wages war on the N-Gage

The cheerily-named Warhammer 40,000: Glory in Death will be blasting onto Nokia’s N-Gage courtesy of THQ Wireless and, for many, it can’t come soon enough. Unfortunately it’s not scheduled for release until spring 2006, but we can be patient, honest…

Featuring the four most popular races from Games Workshop’s apocalyptic vision of mankind’s future, the game will aim to recreate all of the strategy, tactics and cunning that players are used to from the tabletop game. This early in the game’s development many details are still sketchy, but a single-player campaign will be more than ably complemented by a two-player hot-seat multiplayer mode, where two players take turns on a single game deck. As well as this there will be the usual Bluetooth and N-Gage Arena shenanigans.

Packed full of great visual content, Warhammer 40,000: Glory in Death uses a distinct visual style to bring the Warhammer 40,000 universe to life. This is further assisted by original in-game character artwork being designed by Mike McMahon, one of 2000AD's most popular comic artists, best known for WatchTower and Fat City. The first images should be released within the next few months and you can rest assured that we’ll be flinging them at you like an excited toddler as soon as we can.
