Wallace and Gromit: The Last Resort heading to iPad

While episodic adventure creator Telltale should probably be working on both solving Sam & Max: The Penal Zone's bugs, and getting the long overdue sequel, The Tomb of Sammun Max, onto the iPad, at least the developer isn't forgetting about the tablet altogether.

Soon, players can take control of West Wallaby Street's favourite pullover-sporting Inventor and his faithful beagle in, bizarrely, Episode 2 of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures.

It's one of the series' strongest episodes, though, as Wallace builds an entire seaside resort in his own terraced house. The Last Resort includes a beach in the basement, a candy floss machine in the living room and a waterslide from the bedroom, through the dining room, and into the cellar.

And, in true Telltale style, you've got to solve a mystery by chatting to people, solving item manipulation puzzles and clicking on everything until you get fed up and load a walkthrough.

If Telltale really is dedicated to providing its franchises to iPad gamers, perhaps we'll see Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Tales of Monkey Island and the recently announced Jurassic Park and Back to the Future games, on our favourite tablet.

Wallace and Gromit: The Last Resort will hit the iPad sharpish, and will set you back £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
