Fishlabs's iPhone racing advergame is revving its engine
German mobile and iPhone developer Fishlabs brought some genuine credibility to the concept of advergaming, Volkswagen Polo Challenge 3D, and is teaming up once again with the car manufacturer to help launch the new Scirocco R, iPhone style.
Scirocco R 24H Challenge we'll be putting its foot down tomorrow at the same time as the car screeches into showrooms.
The developer has even gone as far as recording the engine sounds of the real Scirocco R to bring a bit of extra realism to the free, wi-fi multiplayer racing game.
"The new Scirocco R is a tour de force from our engineers, and its design and outstanding performance are impressive," says Volkswagen's Reiner Mangold. "The iPhone is the ideal platform for communicating these characteristics emotionally through a racing game, and once again we have the right partner in Fishlabs."
Fishlabs is rapidly becoming the advergaming pioneer, having pushed out several million copies of its first Volkswagen game within a couple of weeks. It enjoyed similar success with its Waterslide Extreme title for Barclaycard.
