Viwawa: another free mobile games portal

And this one's got a focus on multiplayer and social networking

Viwawa: another free mobile games portal

US firm SolidLabs has launched Viwawa, a multiplayer mobile gaming website that offers downloads for free, as well as a bunch of social networking features.

Games will be offered in Java and Flash Lite versions, while the portal will also contain games playable on your PC. There'll be live chat around the games, as well as the ability to set up your own profile on the site for other users to check out.

A big feature is also customising your 'wawa' avatar, which then appears on your profile. You can also buy power-ups and skills, although you'll need the Viwawa currency 'gold' to do it, which is either earned by duffing people up in the game, or stumping up real-world cash to buy some.

We've been poking around the site this morning, and can't find any actual mobile games to download, which is a bit puzzling. However there is an online Flash game called Stwack!, which is a neat stickman beat-'em-up.

Still, it's an intriguing concept, and once Viwawa launches some mobile games we'll be paying a return visit to see how they shape up.
