Celebrate Vive-Launch Eve with a free TF2 themed Surgeon Simulator VR teaser
Sorry we didn't get you anything
Happy Vive-launch eve!
Bossa have gotten you a gift in the form of a free teaser for their upcoming VR surgeon-em-up Surgeon Simulator ER, available to all Vive users.
Better yet, this isn't just some puny lacerations or a boring brain surgery, you'll be giving Team Fortress 2's Heavy a new Baboon heart while playing as the hit shooter's Medic. As you might have seen in our earlier preview, it's a great example of room scale VR.
It's impressive here though because it's one of the first times that Steam has worked with a third party developer to bring one of their IP's to life in VR, something they've done some serious dabbling with for other indie games, and potentially a sign of things to come.
The teaser itself is solid. It's room-scale VR with a ton of interactivity and plenty of fun nods for fans of the game.

Those of you interested in taking a hammer and machete to a Heavy in the name of medical science can find the game on the Steam store page, while those of you still waiting on your Vive to arrive can check out our preview now.
