Valve co-founder Gabe Newell will be making a video address at 2016's Unity Vision Summit for a special address.

Unity have gone big on virtual reality as a technology ever since the Oculus Rift shuffled into the scene, with their game platform currently allowing everyone to export to VR with just a button click. As a result the speaker list reads like a who's who in the virtual reality scene: Palmer Luckey, Clay Bavor and even Dr Richard Marks, the director of the PlayStation Magic Lab

Newell's appearance is of course related to Half Life 3 Valve's SteamVR platform and the HTC Vive VR Headset.

This would be a perfect time for Valve to reveal the price of the Vive, as the system is launching in April and we don't have a price yet, and that would explain why Gabe would be taking to the big stage.

There's also the chance, hopefully, possibly, that Gabe will show what Valve have been working on for on for VR. At the moment they don't have anything announced but I'm hoping for something exciting, even if it's Ricochet 2.

The event takes place on February 10-11th in Hollywood and we'll be bringing you more news from the event as it appears.
