Viva Pinata looks all set for its gardening debut on DS

It's not 100 per cent confirmation, but a story over at Go Nintendo carrying information from the BBFC's website seems to have pretty accurate details on the release of Viva Piñata on DS.

All's been rather quiet since the game was confirmed as being in development by Microsoft-owned studio Rare last year, with no news on the official title, publisher or release date made available.

According to BBFC's website though, a game called Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise has been passed for release under a U rating - that is it contains no material likely to offend or harm - by publisher THQ - so that seems to be the game's full title, its publisher and the news it must be complete in order to have been submitted to the BBFC.

Which is exciting because the original Viva Piñata game released on Xbox 360 was a delightful piñata-packed cross between Pokémon and Animal Crossing and we're looking forward to playing it on DS soon.
