Actor, musician and all-around funnyman Reggie Watts is going to be taking his comedy act to virtual reality later this month. Fans of Watts or doing fun things in VR can attend the show using AltspaceVR's social VR Platform or watch it via a YouTube livestream.

Watts is performing on Thursday, May 26th at 8-9 PDT from AltspaceVR's Los Angeles comedy studio, although those of us in England might have to set an alarm as the show's kicking off at 4am BST.

Watts is an old hand with virtual reality, having recorded a short-form 360 comedy entitled Waves and it's a trend that looks set to continue.

Fans can dial in to the performance in AltspaceVR through a bunch of headsets: The Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive but also in two puny dimensions via a traditional monitor.

Live guests will need an AltspaceVR account and then to respond to this Eventbrite link because places are limited.

AltspaceVR is a cornucopia of fun virtual reality stuff since it launched to the public around a year ago, running pub quizzes, official Dungeons and Dragons evenings, improv comedy and a bunch of other fun stuff, too.
