Social build-'em-up Virtual City Playground HD hitting the App Store on August 25th

The follow-up to G5's popular iPhone and iPad build-'em-up Virtual City is set to hit the App Store on August 25th.

Virtual City Playground will offer similar gameplay to the original outing, but will come packing additional quests, awards, locations, Game Center support, Facebook challenges, and an in-game currency.

You'll be able to play the game's Sandbox mode completely free of charge, but there'll also be 85 optional quests to undertake.

G5 has added a total of 90 new buildings, landmarks, and decorations to this follow-up, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty.

You can even bag yourself 95 achievements.

Run like clockwork

Your job in Virtual City Playground is construct a city from scratch, fill it with houses, homes, and apartments, and produce enough goods to fulfil the needs of your local businesses.

You'll also have to keep your citizens happy by building a range of cinemas, stadia, malls, and other attractions, and by hosting public events.

Plus, don't forget to recycle.

If you think you're up to the task, you can give Virtual City Playgrounds a whirl from August 25th.
