Veggie Samurai on iPhone goes temporarily free

The absolutely, not-even-remotely familiar touch-slicing game Veggie Samurai is available to download for the iPhone for free as part of the Free App A Day service.

Veggie Samurai is a casual slice-'em-up in which you have to swish your finger across the screen to slice various vegetables as they’re chucked into view by an unknown thrower. Letting one drop to the bottom of the screen, or accidentally slicing a bottle of poison, costs you one of three precious lives.

Unlike its fruit-based companion, Veggie Samurai allows for multiple slashes across the same vegetable, making it a more hectic swisher overall.

There’s also a ton of modes alongside the standard Endless and Time-Based variants, with one seeing you defending a cart against particular kinds of vegetable aggressors, bizarrely.

Veggie Samurai is available to download from the App Store for free.
