Vay gets a user driven update in time for the UK release

The initial release of the classic console RPG, Vay, failed to impress Pocket Gamer due to a shopping list of technical troubles, but an update was implemented that reportedly addressed many of the issues raised by the gamers themselves.

The good news for UK role players is that, although we didn't get the game as quickly as RPG fans might have wanted, the improved version is now available at our local App Store (click 'Buy It!' below).

Alongside a host of bug fixes (and, according to the game page, one known fault that's still only solved by rebooting your iPhone) there have been descriptions added to in-game menus, more character-specific information on buy and equip menus, improved controls for interaction with computer controlled characters and an autosave/auto-resume function added.

Hopefully this means the game has settled into its new platform since the disappointing US release, and UK fans of the Sega CD classic will get the game they remember so fondly. Let us know what you think by dropping a comment right here on Pocket Gamer – at least we all know SoMoGa is listening, and wants to hear your reaction.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
