Confirming rumours that broke earlier in the week, ngmoco has revealed it is to start releasing games on Android, with We Rule the first title to make the leap.

Its debut on Google's platform comes roughly six months after it originally launched on iOS.

Android rules

"We are incredibly excited about the ongoing player participation in We Rule," said Neil Young, CEO and co-founder, ngmoco.

In its time on iOS, players have built 5.2 billion buildings, created 90 million social jobs, and ploughed 817 billion acres of farmland in their virtual kingdoms.

"I'm pleased to announce that this Fall we will expand the We Rule world to Android as our flagship title for the platform."

Changing times

The announcement comes after it was uncovered ngmoco was advertising for both Android software test engineers and Android client engineers for Plus+ - its gaming network, currently exclusive to iOS.

Speculation suggests ngmoco's supposed softening to Android has come since Google's VC arm – Google Ventures – invested a reported $3-5 million in the firm.

As recently as February, ngmoco CEO Neil Young had stated the company had no intention of launching titles on Android.
