BillShrink has been put to use in comparing the features of four of the current high-end smartphones, in an effort to quantify the devices for anyone in the market for a next-generation phone.
The iPhone 3GS, Palm Pre, HTC Magic and Motorola Droid were pitted against each other in what turns out to be quite an even fight. Factors such as storage capacity, battery life, number of applications available, connectivity, handset costs (with and without a contract) and the total price you can expect to pay over a 24 month period.
While the Palm Pre and HTC Magic came in a few hundred dollars cheaper than the iPhone 3GS and Motorola Droid, the stark contrast between the iPhone's 93,000 applications and the Pre's 258 ensures that cost won't be the only factor when choosing a smartphone.
The comparison chart is sparking quite a dialogue over the importance of factors such as battery life and multitasking, though it's also interesting to see how similar the
specifications of these high-end devices appear when listed side-by-side.

hey! this is not in ANY WAY a good comparison between these phones!!!
WE ALL KNOW that these are not the things we use to choose a phone!
put an N97 there and see what changes... it will be the best of the 5! but why you would choose iPhone or Droid?!
There is a lot more to compare!!!
Look that the number of apps on app store is not a REAL "game changer", since on itunes app store there is a lot of stupid and useless things! you know that spanner! why didnt you make any consideration?!
