We hope everyone at Sega's going to make the most of their summer break, because come September it's all systems go; literally in the case of PSP, which in the space of a couple of weeks will see the release of topnotch driving games
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars and
Sega Rally, as well as top-down shooter
Alien Syndrome.
Sonic Rivals 2 will also arrive from Sega for Sony's handheld, although its release date has yet to be confirmed.
Things on the DS take a little longer to warm up.
Sonic Rush Adventure is due in September, but without a specific release date. The crunch day is November 30th, which will see the release of
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, as well as the DS and PSP tie-in game for the blockbuster movie based on the first of Philip Pullman's
His Dark Materials novels.
It goes under the title
The Golden Compass rather than
Northern Lights for the usual unified marketing strategy reasons (the book was published as
The Golden Compass in the US), and is Sega's big licensing hope for 2007.
In full, that Sega release schedule looks like:
SeptemberAlien Syndrome (PSP, September 7th)
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars (PSP, September 7th)
SEGA Rally (PSP, September 28th)
Sonic Rush Adventure (DS, TBC)
Autumn Sonic Rivals 2 (PSP)
NovemberThe Golden Compass (DS/PSP, Novemver 30th)
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS, November 30th)
