 NOKIA N900 NEWS

Nokia N900 out on November 16th, pricing revealed

Cheaper than your average smartphone

Product: Nokia N900 | Manufacturer: Nokia
There's considerable excitement surrounding Nokia's imminent N900 handset. The Maemo powered device looks to be a big step up from the company's previous touchscreen efforts such as the N97, with excellent customisation potential, effortless multi-tasking and super slick web browsing capabilities.

We know that the unit is set for a November 16th release, and now the contract pricing details have been released. The good news is that it's going to be surprisingly cheap (relatively speaking).

Mobile comparison site Omio reveals that you'll be able to get on an N900 on contract for as little as £20 per month with Orange, although that'll be a two year contract and you'll have to shell out a £170 initial fee for just 200 minutes and 300 texts a month.

Rather more palatable is Orange's 'free' handset deal, which is £35 per month over two years. That'll bag you 900 minutes and unlimited texts.

O2, meanwhile, is offering a £30 per month contract (again over two years) with an initial outlay of just £10, which will give you 600 minutes and 500 texts.

Whichever way you cut it, though, it's significantly cheaper than the iPhone 3GS on both Orange and O2.

That offer sounds better than the worthless offer people are receiving for the iphone here in Germany.
