Atari brings physics-ninja-sim N+ to DS and PSP

The stickman's only got 90 seconds to live

Product: N+ | Publisher: Atari | Genre: Action, Conversion | Networking: wireless (adhoc), wireless (network)
Similar in idea, graphical style and playability to Line Rider, the latest ubercool web game to get the nod for DS and PSP conversion is N (The Way of the Ninja), or as this version will officially be known, N+.

The premise is simple – you're a little stick figure who can move left, right and jump within a physically-modelled bouncy 2D world, but you've only got 90 seconds to hit the switch and exit the level.

As if that wasn't enough to worry about, hazards such as mines, homing missiles, Gaussian turrets, laser drones, zap drones, chaingun drones, floorguards and, erm, Thwumps are out to halt your progress in all manner of beautiful, ragdoll-animated death sequences.

On the plus side, finding gold pieces will add two seconds to your time limit, while launchpads and bounce blocks help you gain height and land safely.

The DS and PSP versions of the game will feature over 500 levels, organised into 100 unlockable episodes of five levels each, which will also include 50 fiendish stages created by fans of the original Flash-based PC version of the game.

N+ is to be released by Atari sometime this winter but, in the meantime you can check the Flash version of the game in action below to get a taste of what to expect.

I have played this game before online and it's quite fun.
As to whether I would pay money for a DS version , I'm not so sure.

they could probably get away with a £20 budget version. Won't cost much to develop at least.

If this is cheap enough, I'll buy it, particularly if it comes bundled with the level editor. N is probably the best freeware game I've played, and the crisp visuals and simple gameplay really suit a handheld release.

Top stuff.
