Congratulations to Konami, whose Metal Gear Solid Mobile has scooped the Operator's Choice award and the overall Grand Prix in this year's IMG Awards, which have just been announced in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress.

The game hasn't launched yet in the UK, but its storming success has only whetted our appetite even more – the last time we hooked up with developer Ideaworks3D, it had high hopes the game would make it to Europe soon, potentially even as an N-Gage version.

Ideaworks3D CEO Alex Caccia was on hand to collect the prizes (as we think it's appropriate to say), these being cheques for $5,000 and $15,000 (as pictured with some of the Ideaworks3D crew).

Also celebrating way into the the night were Tequila Mobile, whose puzzler Treasure Arm won the Best Casual Game prize, and LemonQuest, who's Furby Island won in the Best IP Licensed category.

N-Gage beat-'em-up One got the gong for Best 3D, so congratulations to developer Digital Legends. And another upcoming N-Gage title, Jadestone's Dirk Spanner and the Fallen Idol, got the Best Gameplay prize.
