Earlier this year, Vivendi merged with Activision and Vivendi game Ghostbusters disappeared off the radar. The multi-format game, which had been confirmed for DS and - its developers had hinted - could have been on the cards for PSP too, was rumoured not to have been canned, but rather offered to other publishers to pick up.

Now the latest news on the game comes from an unlikely source - Dan Aykroyd himself, talking to Dallas radio station 105.5 KLLI this morning, according to a story on Kotaku.

Speaking to the station, Aykroyd reveals the game has been picked up by Atari and is about "a year away" from being released.

Let's face it, if anyone should know it's Dan Aykroyd. Now the actor has possibly prematurely leaked that bit of news, if it's accurate, expect some sort of announcement from Atari shortly.
