Revolutionary Concepts will be dropping the price of Cobra Command to free tomorrow.

Originally released in arcades in 1984, the game wowed coin-op veterans with its cartoon-styled graphics. Like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, it managed to chuck out incredible graphics thanks to the magic of laserdisc.

Time travel back to '84, put a Cobra Command cabinet next to a Space Invaders one, and guess which will get the most attention.

Like those other laserdisc classics, Cobra Command makes for a fun bit of retro paraphernalia on your new fangled iPhone. Revolutionary Concepts is quick to point out that it looks great on iPad too.

You can download the game, which is typically £2.99 or $4.99, for free on iPhone and iPod touch this Saturday, April 17th. Don't put away your coppers so soon, though, as there are a bunch of in-app cheat code purchases.
