We wrote about the Antix Game Player client
earlier this week: it's the new technology from a company called Antix, which sprang up from the ashes of tech firm Tao Group.
In that interview, boss Francis Charig said the company is aiming to have the Game Player installed on millions of handsets in 2008. Well, Antix is making a start, with the announcement of a deal with Motorola.
Specifically, the client will be available for two Motorola handsets: the
MOTO Z8 and the MOTO Z10. Initially, this'll be as a download, but later this year, Motorola will start embedding it in the devices.
The question now, of course, is what games will be available, and how owners of those handsets will get hold of them? We'll be swinging by the Antix stand next week at the Mobile World Congress show to find out.
