Apparently, cute bird bouncing game Air Penguin (a Pocket Gamer Silver awardee) was a surprise hit - even for publisher Gamevil and developer Enterfly.

That's one of the reveals from Gamevil US president Kyu Lee, who's just been interviewed on PocketGamer.biz.

More exciting for the game's fans however is news about updates and platforms.

For iPhone, version 1.1 of the game will provide new levels, while version 1.2 will provide new levels and a new character; we're assuming that means playable character.

Spread your wings

In terms of new platforms, Lee says the team are hustling to get an Android version released, and there will be others.

"We'll try to bring this over to as many platforms possible in the future," he says.

In additional, Gamevil are working on licensing efforts. Expect plush toys, TV series, pencil cases and t-shirts soon too.
