Vampire Origins iPhone: new screenshots and video
Squashing blood-suckers under your thumb
Chillingo has just been in touch to show us a bit more (actually, a lot more) of its hot new 3D shooter, Vampire Origins. Pocket Gamer exclusively revealed the first screenshots of Vampire Origins back in April, and we've now got a whole load more images for you to drool over, along with a gameplay video.
Vampire Origins is the first part of an action-packed shooter trilogy, and looks outstanding. You appear to take on the role of a Van Helsing-type character (probably Van Helsing) as you fight your way through some spectacular gothic environments overflowing with the undead.
Fending off the starving blood-suckers is done simply by tapping them to make your rock-hard avatar aim and shoot, but it still looks like a hell of an action-packed horror/survival thrill ride with some great animation and gory visual effects.
Judging by the screenshots, as you battle your way further into Vampire Origins the guns are put away and swords drawn for some more up close and personal hand-to-hand combat.
