That’s ‘Holiday Quest’ for Brits

PopCap files ‘Vacation Quest’ trademark

PopCap, the casual game behemoth behind such phenomena like Bejeweled and Plants vs Zombies, has filed a trademark for the term ‘Vacation Quest’.

The filing makes it clear that the property will be a game, and playable on all sorts of hardware including handheld and mobile gizmos, but reveals no further details.

Maybe it’ll involve getting stuck in a dingy little caravan during a torrential downpour, or losing your passport in Brazil and struggling to get back to the UK. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing trips, of course, and not heroic quests or massive adventures.

Hopefully we’ll see what PopCap has up its sleeve soonish: we could do with another digital injection of addictive time wasting games on every platform imaginable. Our Plants vs Zombies addiction is starting to wane.
