Empire is set to release point-and-click adventure Unsolved Crimes on October 31st. But prior to that, it's unveiled a micro-site, which gives gamers chance to experience how the game will play.

Head over to the website - located here - and you'll get to take part in a spot of detective work, exploring a room to find items such as a blackmail note and a gun.

All sorts of objects can be zoomed in on and examined, as in the game, which we previewed here.

Unsolved Crimes takes place in a 1970's New York, and has you playing a rookie police detective investigating a murder. Think of a cross between Phoenix Wright and Columbo and you won't be far off how it'll play.

Over at the site you'll also find - alongside the dead body - a competition where you can win a DS and copy of the game as well as screenshots, trailers and wallpapers.

Check it out and we almost guarantee it'll get you in the mood for some Miss Marple-style crime solving at the end of the month.
