Highly anticipated military shooter Unit 13 has set its sights on a March release date.

Our friends in the US will be the first to get to grips with Zipper Interactive's latest on March 6th, while those of us in the UK and Europe will get it a day later on March 7th,

The folks at Zipper are responsible for Sony's SOCOM games and Unit 13 builds on the company's experience in the third-person shooter genre.

You and whose army?

Ticking the boxes of the Vita's Swiss Army knife array of functions, Unit 13 will make use of much-celebrated dual analogue sticks and touchscreen controls and use the handheld's Near feature to receive friend challenges and download new missions daily.

The game also comes pre-loaded with 36 missions playable solo or with a friend.
