Harmonix lead designer's CV reveals 'unannounced' Facebook project for Rock Band developer

Harmonix has carved a very profitable niche for itself on home consoles with rhythm-action games like Dance Central and Rock Band.

According to the CV of one Brian Chen, however, Harmonix is looking beyond the console market by increasing its presence on social gaming platforms.

Chen lists himself as a lead developer on an "unannounced" Harmonix title that is currently in development for Xbox Live and PSN.

What's interesting about the listing is that Chen includes Facebook among the platforms for which this new game is being designed.

Status pending

In response to Shacknews's query regarding the listing, Harmonix said: "As we've stated before, our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles."

"In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they're publicly announced. We're excited to confirm more information soon, probably via a LinkedIn update or something - we haven't decided."

And given Harmonix's - ahem - track record, the chances of this mystery title being music-based are relatively high.

We'll be sure to keep you updated as this one unfolds. Probably via LinkedIn (not really).
