Crescent Moon's counting down for iOS platformer Ultra Kid

First trailed a year ago, Crescent Moon's iOS action / shooting platformer Ultra Kid was placed on the backburner while the developer hooked up with Galoobeth Games to complete epic RPG Aralon: Sword and Shadow.

Now, however, the game - inspired by the likes of Mega Man, Kid Icarus, and Super Mario Galaxy - is getting closer to release.

It will soon be time, therefore, to explore Ultra Kid's cute 3D-cum-2.5D world, in which you get to fly your rocket to different moons and planets.

There will be environments to wander through, plenty of creatures to fight, and items to collect, including weapons and suit upgrades.

And while we're waiting, Crescent Moon is also planning on releasing a taster in the form of standalone game Ultra Kid: Sprint; an endless running mode using the Ultra Kid character and universe.

You can get an idea of how the Sprint version of the game will play in the following video.
