Crescent Moon heads into space with new iPhone game Ultra Kid

US developer Crescent Moon made its name with iPhone RPG Ravensword, but its latest game swaps out fantasy realism for cute space-aged fun.

Inspired by the likes of Mega Man, Kid Icarus, and Super Mario Galaxy, Ultra Kid: Mystery of the Mutants, is a space-themed 3D-come-2.5D platform game.

In it, you get to fly your rocket, landing on different moons and planet, where you'll find tunnels to explore and plenty of creatures to fight.

Items to collect include weapons and suit upgrades; useful indeed as you make your way through the game and saving the galaxy from Dr. Ridalin, who apparently is quite, quite evil, if a little jumpy.

Still early in development, Crescent Moon will be revealing more details about the game in the coming weeks.
