Colourful Puzzler Trainyard takes to the tracks on iPhone
Train hard, play harder
A train-related puzzler has pulled into the App Store station.
Trainyard asks you to deliver trains to their correct stations, along a winding set of tracks.
Dragging along the grid will draw train tracks, connecting start and end points. Tapping 'Start the Trains!' will get the chuggers going, and if you've correctly laid the tracks down you'll be on to a winner.
Tracks can be drawn anywhere on the screen, so there's no single solution to each level. This becomes more obvious as different coloured trains are added and need to twist and turn around each other.
Special blocks cause your trains to split off in different directions, change the colour of your trains or spawn even more trains to play with. A train must arrive at every station for the level to be complete.
There are 100 puzzles to play through, plus a number of bonus levels. Crazy solutions can be shared with friends, so you can show off your mental skills.
The freedom in finding the solution to each puzzle is a real selling point, and gives the whole thing a really unique premise.
