Forget the World Cup – the German sport they'll all be talking about this summer is pig-racing!

Let's make no bones about it – in the real world pig racing is just wrong. The porky fellas are unfit, scared silly by the starting pistol, and as for squeezing into two pairs of trainers… forget it.

That didn't stop the annual 'pig olympics' from taking place in Russia this week, though, and it hasn't stopped German developer HandyGames from announcing the world's first pig-racing mobile game.

Townsmen Racing is the title – it's a spin-off from HandyGames rather good Townsmen strategy games, starring porcine anti-hero Poopsy and five of his equally bacon-tastic friends. The races take place in three settings (dark forests, icy mountains and hot deserts), and there are plenty of power-ups to collect on the way.

We'll be wallowing in this muddy fare by the end of April, which is nothing to snort at. Click the 'Track It!' button to keep informed.
