DS puzzler Touch Detective 2 1/2 solving crimes on iPhone
Touching
Surreal puzzle sequel Touch Detective 2 1/2 has slipped past our news defences and started solving offences on the App Store.
First released on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, Touch Detective 2 1/2 puts you in control of child sleuth Detective Mackenzie and her odd brown mushroom (called 'Funghi', natch), as they track down crimes and arrest those responsible for them.
Riddle me thisThe iOS version contains a completely new episode in which you play as the fungal sidekick. You get to call suspects, collate evidence, and solve the case without Mackenzie's big hat getting in the way.
If my memory serves me correctly, it's a fairly tough little title, so don't let the cute graphics fool you.
Eagle-eyed App Store watchers can now take this opportunity to point out that the game was actually released in late March, and has merely been updated overnight with French and Italian language support. To them, I say - errr - look over there!
Touch Detective 2 1/2 (which was definitely released this week... definitely!) is out now for iPhone.
Much like another well-loved DS classic Ghost Trick, the first parts of the story are free, with the remainder of the game available as IAPs (£5.99 in the UK for the whole shebang).
