Sega's strategy game Total War Battles: Shogun marches onto the App Store tomorrow
Never turn back
Sega's iOS RTS game Total War Battles: Shogun has just invaded the New Zealand App Store, meaning it'll march into the UK and US at midnight this evening.
In this genre shake-up from the guys who brought you the Total War PC titles, you must marshall your feudal forces across medieval Japan via an unconventional mix of real-time movement and classic series-specific mechanics.
Our own bushido expert Will Wilson went hands-on with the game last month, and reported that while the gameplay had taken some leads from Plants vs Zombies and Command & Conquer, Total War fans would be well advised to keep it on their radar.
Total War Battles: Shogun is available in the New Zealand App Store right now for $9.99, so expect it to set you back £4.99 / $6.99 once it touches down on UK and US soil later tonight.
While there is an Android version of Total War Battles: Shogun in the works, by the way, there is no concrete release date at present for this edition.
